Russian police are investigating the death of a sexologist after her naked body was found at a five-star hotel.

Anna Ambartsumyan, 26, was discovered dead at the Peter I Hotel in Moscow, laying on the bed with a designer handbag and a black dress beside her body.

Police are now trying to track down a male visitor she had in her room before her death, according to local reports.

Ambartsumyan was a popular TV psychologist and sexologist and had a large following over 370,000 people on Instagram. It has been reported she was recently given two Bentleys and an Aston Martin by her admirers.

She had been dead for around eight hours when she was found, The Sun reported. Suspected non-prescription pills were reportedly found in her hotel room and have been sent for analysis.

Her social media account shows she appeared to live a lavish life, attending events and staying at fancy hotels.

Last week she visited influencer hotspot Rossini in Moscow, posing for a photo outside its recognisable entrance in a red dress, black heels and with a designer handbag.

She also recently posted about a huge bouquet of roses she received, writing that flowers are something that should be “given regularly and without reason”.

In April, Ms Ambartsumyan wrote about encountering the issue of domestic violence in her role as a “certified psychiatrist,” writing it caused her an “an inexplicable burden inside”.

A post-mortem is being carried out to establish how Ms Ambartsumyan died, according to reports.
