"Herostratus" is a British film in which Helen Mirren plays in her first movie in a seductive scene where she is basically talking to the viewers with her enticing words. The movie is centered around a young unemployed and unnoticed poet who plans to commit suicide by jumping off a tall building but he wants to do it by making a grandiose statement against society for not "understanding him." Helen Mirren went on to perform in many more movies and television shows, some of which include: Troilus and Cressida; Hamlet; Where Angels Fear to Tread; The Prince of Egypt (voice); The Tempest.
