IN the U.S. race relations are better in good times than in bad ones

Why is this?

Because it takes money to make things better for people of any race in the U.S. or anywhere on earth.

So, the difference right now is we are either moving into a coronavirus caused recession in the U.S. or worldwide Great Depression caused by the coronavirus.

Because of this, real and lasting change of any sort between the races here in the U.S. or around the world are very unlikely to happen.

Because it takes a lot of money to create lasting changes.

And right now people are going to hold onto their money worldwide (just like during the great Depression and World war II) just to survive the coronavirus at all.

People are terrified right now worldwide and real and lasting change regarding race relations is very unlikely to happen just because of how PTSD and terrified of the unknown most people are worldwide.

Enough people of all races have to feel safe enough to grant changes to any other group. This is just being realistic when you look at history.

Could something else happen?

Of course but very unlikely during these times.
