From 1980 to 1985 I home schooled our older kids then who were 5 to 8 years of age then (three of them) with Oak Meadow School which worked quite well for us at the time. It allowed us to move about 25 miles or more from the little City of Mt. Shasta to our 2 1/2 acres which would have been too far to either drive our kids to school and no bus was available then. So, this worked quiet well for us then. So, if you are worried about being infected by your kids going back to public School it is quite reasonable (as long as you have the time to school your kids) to educated your children at home to protect yourselves from dying.
If your child is 5 to 12 years of age this often is a good idea. However, from at least High School on they often need to socialize more with other children for their adult lives to remain more normal. So, I don't recommend home schooling your children through High School. Junior High home schooling your children is kind of iffy too. But, remember how awful Junior High was in public school any way you look at it.
