So, unless people can find a place inside where they can keep the windows shut some people are going to wind up in the hospital breathing this stuff. My wife and I have a house large enough so this isn't a problem of not opening our windows for that many days but many people don't have that luxury. But, even I am used to opening the windows every afternoon or evening to bring the fresh air off the ocean into the house for a few hours (day or night depending upon temperatures outside) every day I'm here during the year. So, for most people this is a pretty big hardship not to be able to open windows the last 2 or 3 days all the way to next Monday and working outside is very unhealthy right now. I tried to take a picture of the orange or red sun today through the clouds of fog and smoke but my camera couldn't even pick up the image of the sun
Plus looking at a weather map the smoke extends now hundreds of miles out to sea and throughout the state of California north to south and is now blowing into many other states as well to the east and south.
