Hope for a very discouraged world

I was thinking today of how the actual number of coronavirus deaths in the U.S. is not 400,000 but actually 8 times more than that according to CDC actual estimates of how many have the virus in the U.S.

328.2 million (2019)

But, as you can see the population of the United States is 328.2 million as of 2019.

But, if you multiply the 400,000 by 8 which gives us the CDC estimate of real deaths you get

3,200,000 people who have died from coronavirus when you add the non-tested deaths from coronavirus.

This means that we almost have lost 1% of the total population of the United States to Coronavirus and by next month we might have lost almost twice the number of people to coronavirus as we lost as soldiers in World War II even if we use the lower figure of 500,000 by the middle of next month which might mean we actually will have lost twice the number of people to coronavirus by March or April which likely by then will be 600,000 Americans lost by then. If I multiply the 600,000 by 8 that would be 4,800,000 actual deaths when you add the 7/8 not tested who are also dying of coronavirus around the U.S.

How many American soldiers were killed during World War 2?

291,557

So, the Hope of a President that allows us to grieve for our dead so by remembering the dead we can move forward and therefore have hope is a very big deal.

Grieving the dead is important if people want psychological health now and  into the future. Living in denial just drives people insane and kills them eventually otherwise.

I have seen this happen (both ways) in real time in people that I know. Don't forget to grieve your losses, otherwise you mentally or physically or both won't be around anymore.

Grieve your losses so you can go on and live your lives.

By God's Grace
