One in Four people under 25 think about suicide every day

I experienced this too from 1969 to 1973 so I can partly speak to this.

Here is the general problem with all of this:

The person you are in love with might die or kill themselves or marry someone else besides you.

The profession you want might not happen for you for a variety of reasons. But, you might not have been happy doing that anyway.

And besides, likely you wouldn't have been happy with the person you chose to be with that didn't work out anyway.

Why am I writing like this?

Because life isn't usually what any of us want in the beginning, middle or end.

Life is often about "What can you survive and live with without killing yourself?" more than anything else.

This is just a fact of life.

Who has ALWAYS survived down through history?

The people who have taken an interest in their survival.

Everyone else died.

This is something to think about for all of us!

Something that helps me a lot:

I try to go outside every day and look at the sky, the trees, the ocean and in doing this it gives meaning and purpose and a connection to my life. Inside of any building for me is sort of like being in a dark cave. Unless I can go outside in nature often I still am not very interested in staying alive or being alive. But, if I can go walk into a forest with our family dog at least once a day or walk along the beach with our dog life is good.

Something else my wife and I do to try to stay sane through all of this is we get into our Hot Tub outside and soak around sunset watching the trees and watching the sunset until it's dark. It's a way to cope with all the insanity of life on earth right now.

You have to find something that heals your soul to go on. For each person it's different I know. But, unless you find some reason to go on, you won't.
