I listened to a news Conference from the Governor of Maryland telling how he was asked by the minority leader of either the House or the Senate who called him for help because he was a Maryland Senator or Congressman. The Governor of Maryland was not allowed to send help because the Secretary of Defense wouldn't allow it. Someone else at the Pentagon had to authorize Maryland Riot police and State police going to rescue Congress and Capitol police 1 1/2 hours later after they all could have been killed.
You can be sure heads will roll at some point throughout the government at some point after this and many will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. By the Way the Governor of Maryland is a Republican who had this conference to tell people just how insane all this was.
It is as if heads within the Pentagon and heads of the Capitol police were behind the overthrow of our democratic government by Trump. Luckily, our checks and balances have held against Trump's planned violent overthrow of our government so far.
