This is how I understand it presently. You are in the formless void meditating or something and then someone or a group of people pray for you to return to earth and you hear their prayers and so you incarnate on earth so that their prayers can be answered.
This is how I presently understand Spontaneous Accomplishment.

However, you are coming from a place where time and space do not exist at all to a place where it does exist but only when you incarnate there. So, it might take some getting used to because how many millions of years (in real time) have you been meditating in the formless void before someone prays for you to come and reincarnate here on earth?
Yes. I know that time might have no meaning to you after an unlimited amount of time meditating in the formless void or in Heaven realms that you visit but somehow you adjust to time and space again so you can help beings who pray for this help.
This is how I presently understand the basic nature of Spontaneous Accomplishment by a Living Buddha like Gautama Buddha or Padmasambhava or others.

So, the full basis of Spontaneous Accomplishment is about answering sincere prayers of beings here on earth in real time by manifesting a body here on earth in Time and Space as a Living Buddha.
