Writing

One of the ways to get through the whole Covid era (which is beginning to look more like World War II death wise around the world by the way) is to write to get in touch with your feelings and experiences going through all this.

When I was in my early 20s I returned to College after working full time for awhile and I read Psychology Today in the library there at Palomar College in San Diego County, California.

My parents hadn't been to college even though my father had studied to become and electrician and Electrical Contractor. But, no one in my immediate family had ever studied psychology or had ever been to a counselor or a psychologist at that point in my life.

I started reading Psychology Today articles and eventually decided from what I found out that I wanted to become a psychologist because of what I learned kept me from committing suicide in my early 20s.

Most of the emotional and psychological baggage I was carrying was not even my baggage but stuff passed down for hundreds of years and stuff from my parents and other relatives. I decided to chuck all that stuff so I could stay alive and live a happy life from then on and eventually I did.

So, I worked very hard re-parenting myself in my 20s so by my 30s I was very very happily married from about 1980 to 1985 when my father passed away. But, by the time my son was born in 1974 I was 26 and I was through with suicide for this lifetime because I had to raise my son right. It didn't matter what I wanted because my life wasn't about me anymore it was about raising my son right which was good for me too in the long run.

Though because I got married and had a son I never actually became a psychologist even though I studied towards this goal for several years before I married and had a son.

And what I realized is that most people don't need to take their own lives because of family baggage, they just need to figure out what makes them happy in their lives to find a way to choose to stay alive one day at a time.

So, writing can heal you and save your life. I saved my own life by praying and studying things that helped me choose to stay alive and be happy in my life eventually.

But, first I had to do a lot of work to undo a lot of the damage done by society and misdirected people in my life. Most people meant well enough. It's just that they didn't realize the harm they had done to me along the way.

So, I started reparenting myself and healing myself at Palomar College once I learned about psychology and how to do this. I also took a course offered then called: "The psychology of personal growth and Development" which also helped me save my own life as helped me save other people's lives along the way.

So, write of what you are experiencing so you can heal your conscious and subconscious minds and stay alive and enjoy your lives.

By God's Grace
