The delta variant started in India where the average age of people there is around 30 years old. So, it is a very young country as you can see. Because of this the Delta Variant is hitting children too, not just the elderly not vaccinated.
Because of this you have to be much much more careful keeping your unvaccinated children alive from zero to 12 years old worldwide since you cannot legally vaccinate them yet for Covid.
In the U.S. 85% of all people over 50 are vaccinated, so mostly it is people between zero and 50 who are dying now or getting early senile dementia and Long covid now from this variant.
