Though "World War C" is the title of a book it also shares what the world is actually going through similar to a Great Depression or War

World War C is a useful metaphor for what we are presently going through worldwide with millions dying or being maimed by Covid worldwide and where supply chains are being seriously affected in a different way than they ever have before except in wartime or the Great Depression.

Supply chains will likely get even more disrupted as people working on ships cancel their contracts rather than be stuck on a ship with no escape for up to 1 year at a time.

People in all countries will likely have to manufacture whatever products they want. People will begin to make more and more of their clothes and grow more and more of their own food much like when Victory Gardens were raised by American Citizens during World War II here in the U.S.

The word 'Homespun' in regard to making ones own clothes and growing ones own food will likely come back into fashion in the next couple of years as the world adjusts to supply chains ending for all sorts of goods worldwide.

Unless things can be shipped by Air likely they aren't going to get to whatever country they are going to the way things are presently going. Shipping is likely ending (at least in the form of ships carrying goods because of canceled contracts among merchant marines worldwide giving up jobs on ships.

Until quarantines end from country to country shipping is ending for now within the next year or so worldwide by ship.
