Before 4 o'clock your dog will get a walk?

My wife was complaining that I hadn't taken our dog for a walk either on the beach or up in the redwood forests near us yet. Then I said the title which sounds like the beginning of a poem.

Before 4 o'clock your dog will get a walk

I don't really want to talk

But, your dog will get a walk

In the forests or on the beach

Your dog will get a walk

when I said "Before 4 o'clock your dog will get a walk" we both laughed because like I said it sounded like the start of a poem.

So, just to amuse myself I wrote a little poem about it.

By the way, if you want to solve problems in your life, try writing Haiku.

I did this when I was going through a terrible divorce in the mid 1990s and after I got together with my present wife in late 1994. I found putting my feelings down in Haiku format helped save me and helped me create a new life that I could survive in rather than self destructing like many do during a divorce.

So, out of the ashes of my old life I was able to rise like a Phoenix reborn rather than just die and fade away from people's memories instead. Here are some examples of this I put at dragonofcompassion.com from then.

These shortened and some Haiku forms

helped save me from myself and the world then 

trying to survive a bad divorce and then marrying 

my 3rd wife. Life is never easy but it is possible

to survive both for yourself and for all the people 

that depend upon you that might not survive if you don't too.

So, you owe them your survival so maybe they can survive too.
