Fires and flooding and Tornadoes are sending home insurance through the roof some places

 I remember how scared friends of mine were in Mt. Shasta a couple of years ago when they couldn't even get the state to sell them fire insurance on their homes. So, when the fire over in Weed looked like a few days it was going to come around the mountain and burn down their home and property they weren't as scared as before simply because California had finally sold them fire insurance.

So, whether you can afford home insurance and fire insurance or flood insurance in the future might depend upon how wealthy you are more than any other single variable because as the damage from fires, storms, Floods and Tornadoes etc. increase so will insurance rates which are now increasing much faster than inflation all over the U.S.
