The hope of course is that Omicron is the last vestiges of Covid. I was having a conversation with someone also studying all this like I do today. They said that Covid as a virus really doesn't want to kill it's host (a human being is a host). It wants the host to live so it can spread everywhere to everyone instead. That's what a virus wants. It doesn't really want to kill you it wants to become an immortal virus by keeping you alive so you can spread it to others.
Omicron, looked at in this way is the most efficient spreader and the least efficient killer of all variants studied so far that has become dominant. Because it is presently the dominant virus in all of Europe and UK and now the dominant Virus in the U.S.
So, it's goal isn't necessarily to kill you but only to spread to everyone you meet instead worldwide.
Presently, in the U.S. I have only heard of one man in Houston in his 50s who has died so far in the U.S. from Omicron. And he had already had another version of Covid before and wasn't vaccinated for either version he got so he died.
However, the 4 day mild version is usually only for people under 30 years of age. It's rougher the older you are even if you survive it. And so far I have heard nothing about Long Covid or Senile Covid in relation to Omicron simply because it hasn't been around long enough for anyone really to know.
After all, people only discovered it in November in 2021 in South Africa. So, there isn't enough time to know what it does to people long term yet who get it.
