When I read things like the Lotus Sutra written 500 BC

In other words 500 years before Jesus was even born the Lotus Sutra existed here on earth. When you read it it might be difficult to comprehend exactly what is being said because the way people thought about things was not based upon Christianity simply because Christianity would not begin for over 500 or more years after this was uttered by Siddhartha Gautama Buddha.

In fact, the way I see all the teachings of the Buddha, I see Jesus as a young man studying the Compassion of Buddhism and coming up with Forgiveness which likely is the most important single thing that he brought to the middle East and Europe by the way.

But, I see that the Compassion of Buddhism led to the Forgiveness that all Christians have learned now.

Without Forgiveness there would be never ending wars like you still find in parts of the Middle East. If you hold Grudges for thousands of years mostly there can not really be much progress in the civilizations holding these grudges.

Without Christian Forgiveness none of the Western Democracies could exist today.
