I was listening to a doctor talk about this today on CNN. The reason there are 7 times the cases than are actually being reported is that everyone now is using home tests and not reporting them to anyone. This is why there are actually 7 times the number of cases actually being reported right now of BA4 and BA5 which are the dominant strains of Omicron right now across the U.S.
