How are Human beings Amazing?

This is a lot what I learned from 4 days without water or food in the early 1980s.

We are amazing because we are basically UNLIMITED.

However, this is balanced also with how fragile we are.

It's great to lead with how unlimited we are and many people do and die very young.

But, unless you are also practical about how fragile we are as humans people don't usually live very long or they lose their minds.

So, even though as a young person you don't want to be overly practical because that might be boring, that same "Taking care of business" and staying safe enough to stick around here on earth in a body is what is going to keep you alive indefinitely.

So, maybe knowing what you need in any given moment "warmth enough in the snow, cold enough in the hot summer, food and water enough to keep going etc. might be the single most important things you need to know as a human being ongoing.

Because if you don't take care of yourself in life most people will not take care of you either and you will be gone.

So, learning what you need to keep living in any given moment is the difference in people between those who survive and those who don't.

Also, there is what you want and there is what you need as a human being.

We all want everything right now. And some people if they don't get everything they want right now soon self destruct and are gone in various ways.

So, separating what you want from what you need to survive on a daily basis is often the difference between success in life and just being gone.

Life isn't easy for anyone.

Understanding this one becomes or can become empowered in understanding this.

This can develop compassion for all living beings in that everyone is suffering with most of the same issues as you are.

Understanding this and developing compassion for all other living beings I have found is the most important thing in life once you master physical survival.

By God's Grace

Note: There is an old Zen Buddhist saying regarding this practicality.

"Carry Water Chop Wood".

Though we now often have piped in water and often central heating instead of wood stoves for heat the basic needs must be met of water and warmth especially in colder climates.

So, still the meditation of "Carry Water Chop Wood" carries through in that we all need food to eat, a place to be warm enough to survive and clothes if we wish and safety enough to keep going in life.

And until these basic needs of a human being are met all the fancy dreams might mean nothing even though at core we are all Unlimited.
