Losing about 1 pound a day (but I'm 6 foot 5 also) so I realized this diet I likely should share (however it is a little austere)

I went into the hospital on the 4th of January and got out on the 6th of January. And starting Sunday night they put me on a diet so I could stay alive after an experience similar to Diverticulitis. However, they didn't have to operate then but I did find out about Abdominal Binders they call them (I prefer abdominal belts better) especially after a bout of something like Diverticulitis caused by a needed hernia operation.

Anyway, here is the initial diet they put me on that started on all this Sunday Night:

Chicken Broth

Jello

Orange juice

Lemonade frozen sometimes

Water

That's it!

However, I was pretty spaced out by Thursday as you can imagine

So, I added in Core Power by Fairlife which has strawberry banana, Vanilla and Chocolate flavors for protein so my brain could work again and not be so spaced out. This changed everything because then I could think straight and not feel like I was on some kind of fast four days in where I was beginning to lose track of reality a little bit.

My wife noticed I was tracking better mentally as soon as I had had a few sips of the Core power complete protein.

The next thing I added to this was oatmeal to help keep my bowel movement regular again which worked good.

Finally I added Mashed potatoes (with no skins).

(However, for you if you are not recovering from a intestinal problem like me the skins (if these are organic Potatoes which are the only kind you should be eating by the way) you could add in potato skins because they are the most nutricious. In fact you could live on baked potatoes completely and nothing else for a year if you had to as long as you ate the skins too(which is an interesting fact about baked potatoes).

Then I added in Greek Yoghurt (a few spoonfuls a day).

That's about it for my diet right there. It's. no carb ( no carbohydrate and no meat diet) which is now helping me lose about 1 pound every day or every two days.

For example, I got up at around 9 am this morning and weighed myself and it was at least a pound lost from the same time yesterday. Then I laid down and slept a few more hours until noon and I had lost another pound just from sleeping and not eating at all or drinking any water.

So, yes, this is a weight lost diet.

However, you might not want to drive a car on this diet or do anything fancy while walking (like I wouldn't necessarily be running on this diet unless you drank at least 2 of those Core power protein Drinks.

One of our housekeepers who has his own janitorial business works out a few time a week with weights because he is an ex Army Ranger and says that the Core Power Protein Drink (which can be bought at Costco at least here in California) is what takes the pain away from his workouts in regard to his muscles.

It's the best thing he has found for this and he likes the Vanilla Flavor. I find I like all three flavors myself and I like the jello I'm eating too because it reminds me of my childhood when my mother made it all the time in the 1950s.

So, good luck on your weight loss but be careful because this alters you a lot both mentally and physically so if you aren't used to this rapid of weight loss be careful especially.

I wouldn't drive a car or run while doing this diet but then again I'm 77 years old.

So Good Luck!

So far since checking into the hospital I have lost about 12 pounds since January 4th when I went to the emergency room and a Lady doctor saved my life.

Note: Some people might consider Potatoes a Carbohydrate and they might be right but since you can actually live on Baked potatoes for a year on just baked potatoes and water I think you need to see them different than most carbohydrates so they are in a completely different class all by themselves.

Also, Baked potatoes, Scalloped potatoes and mashed potatoes where the basis of my life as a vegetarian from birth until I was about 32 years old and I got to be 6 foot 5 inches tall in the process and climbed mountains and rock climbed and rode off road motorcycles and SCUBA dived and snorkeled and surfed and  Ran about 1 mile or more a day after I was 12 years old to stay in shape.

So, thinking of potatoes as a carboyhydrate doesn't make a lot of sense to me because they will keep you alive, (especially if they are organic).

If they have a problem it is caused by pesticides and herbicides which is that Potatoes like Carrots and apples all take in those herbicides and pesticides into their flesh unlike many other things.

So, if you get sprayed versions of those things you ARE EATING pesticides and herbicides that they were exposed to while being grown.

YOU CANNOT WASH PESTICIDES OR HERBICIDES OFF POTATOES, APPLES AND CARROTS SO IF YOU BUY SPRAYED VERSIONS YOU ARE EATING PESTICIDES AND HERBICIDES INTO YOUR BODY.

So, Good luck with this diet if you want to try it!
