There are really only Two Paths in Life

There is a path of compassion for yourself and others and then there is a path of death for yourself and others.

Why is this true?

It's likely taken me all my life to see this as clearly as I do now.

The problem with hate is you cannot hate anyone without hating yourself too. And this hate tends to be insidious in that it might destroy others but it will start by destroying you first. So, the path of death is also the path of Suicide or being self Destructive too. So, even though you might hate others you have to hate yourself first to hate others. This is the problem with this path is that it kills you first and might also kill others. This path of Death is the path of Suicide and or murder eventually.

Whereas the Path of compassion is not only going to save you it will also tend to save everyone around you too. However, all this is a choice. And you see people make this choice every day without fully understand that one path leads to an early death and one path leads to a very long life or can.

So, choosing a path of compassion helps you and everyone else on earth stay alive and choosing a path of hate likely will take your life first but might take other lives along the way.

On one level this seems like an easy choice but the world can be so confusing in some ways that people get lost in their loyalties to all sorts of things without realizing fundamentally that they can't survive if they are on a path of death or self destruction.

Basically, if you choose a path of compassion you live and others live too.

And if you don't choose a path of compassion you become and emissary of death to everyone in your life.

It seems like an easy choice looking at it but the world is full of people who are scared of themselves and others who self destruct every day.

when I was young I hated myself and didn't fully realize what I was doing until I found the path of compassion through Tibetan Buddhism.

The main problem I always had with Christianity is not Christ but White Racists and racists of every Race and Nationality on Earth. Christ had the right idea of Compassion just like Buddha did too. Then Christ added Forgiveness which was needed to overcome the middle Eastern way of "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth".

By doing this Jesus overcame the self destructiveness of revenge and created Christian Brotherhood and Forgiveness. However, what tended to remain (at least in Europe and the U.S.) was racism against any race that wasn't white and this I found to be a problem growing up in the 1950s and 1960s which eventually led me to Tibetan Buddhism and Compassion for myself and all Beings in the entire Universe.

By God's Grace
