New Age Stuff

In case you haven't noticed or haven't read articles at my blog site before, I tend to be extremely eclectic in what I write about. I guess I try to be sort of well rounded in my approach to life in general and researching in any direction that interests me is what I do. This is slightly different. You see, I was raised from birth until age 21 in the Saint Germain Foundation otherwise called the "I AM" Activity. People in this type of chucrh called themselves "I AM" Students and "I AM" was and is considered the name of God as in when God said to Moses as the burning Bush, "My name is I am That I am". However since all this is translated from Hebrew or whatever language God spoke to Moses in the real name would have to be in that language I think. Anyway, in English it is "I am That I am".

I was guided to open a copy of "Saint Germain on Prophecy: Coming World Changes-- Nostradamus on U.S./USSR Confrontation-War in Europe-Earthquakes-Chernobyl"

Also, the book is very dated now because the Soviet Union no longer exists so a confrontation with the USSR by the U.S. never really happened at all outside of the Cold War. The strange thing about the cold War is that it began before I was born after World War II and ended around 1990 when I was 42. So we had at least 40+ years of Cold War and it was psychologically awful for everyone.

Anyway, I was guided to open this paperback and opened up to something about Nostradamus and New York City. However, I couldn't make any sense at all out of it other than the fact that I read something about Archangel Zadkiel and this triggered me to know I had to write this article.

The book I'm refering to was channeled by Elizabeth Clare Prophet who passed away October 15th 2009.

In 1977 I went to the Winter Quarter of her Summit University when it was in Pasadena. During this time she purchased a Catholic Seminary and named it Camelot in Malibu Canyon. While I was at this quarter my son attended the Montessori School there. IN the Spring for about 3 months I was on staff in the Computer Department there in Pasadena working on the Mainframe there until my son got whooping cough like I had had as a young boy and so I returned to San Diego to where I lived then to take care of my son. He is now 35 and in his last year of nursing School in Southern California and is married.

What seemed to be important is that I tell you about Morya. In the hierarchy of Ascended Masters, Morya is the master of the Blue Ray and Archangel Michael is the Archangel of the Blue Ray. The way Elizabeth taught it the Blue Ray begins a cycle and the Violet or Purple Ray ends a cycle(a cycle of time) or the beginning and end of an era. It is said that Saint Germain is the Master of the Aquarian Age.

Though the Summit version of all this is slightly different than the "I am" version in the process of my life I learned both. I had a difficult parting of the ways with the "I AM" Activity at age 21 and I had an unusual parting of the ways with the Summit in 1978. Though I was asked to leave staff I could still go to Conferences. The reason given was: "We can't have anyone on Staff that believes they have a direct connection to God." For me, this was a compliment. However, I also understood that all religious organizations function like armies do. One must always follow the chain of command or one is gone. However, my connections with Jesus, Saint Germain and Morya and the Seven Archangels and their female Archangel counterparts has remained very strong to this day.

Many of you either don't have a religion or are Christian or another religion. If I was to define clearly how I presently saw myself I would be a mystical Christian and Tibetan Buddhist since the Early 1980s. However, my connections with both Saint Germain and Morya in a way define my life on Earth in a very special way.

Now, I know some of you are saying to yourselves: "What the heck is all this about?" And if this was the first I had heard about all this I would be right there with you. However, fortunately or unfortunately depending upon your point of view these ideas were what I was raised with for better or worse. So just as if I was raised a Catholic or Protestant it is as much a cultural thing for me as anything else at this point.

I have found that whatever works in life you have to use. People always want to throw everything away and start over. I see that as an incredible waste. The way I see it all qualities you have and all knowledge you have has two sides like a coin. So one could say there is a useful and a presently unuseful side to all knowledge. But to completely throw any knowledge away doesn't seem useful to me. It would be like throwing money away because of some lame reason. The important thing to me is that one use this knowledge to help oneself and all life around one. In this way all beings can benefit from the knowledge. I call this compassionate pragmatism.

There is a very strange story for example of Padmasambhava. Now Padmasambhava was an Afghan Mahasiddha who trained near Nalanda University in India(I have been there) around the 8th century and brought Buddhism to Tibet and allowed it to combine with the Local Bon Po religion there to form present day Tibetan Buddhism.

Well, while Padmasambhava was riding down the Ganges on a sailing vessel he telepathically knew that one man riding with the other 30 or so passengers planned to drug everyone and then steal all their things and then kill everyone on board. Since he was a Mahasiddha he could do such things. So when Padmasambhava realized the man was going to do this he realized he had to stop him. But here is the strange thing. He decided to behead the man. So he took out his sword and lopped off the man's head.

However, this was a problem and everyone got very angry at Padmasambhava for killing the man without warning or provocation. But Padmasambhava supernaturally protected himself and perservered and said, "If I hadn't done this not only would you all be dead now but this man would have entered a very bad hell realm in which he could not have gotten out for thousands of years. I not only protected you all from death but I also protected the man from unbelievable hellish experience after death. At this point Padmasambhava simply disappeared and went somewhere else.

Before I went to India in 1985 I don't think I would have believed this story. However, after I went to India, Nepal and up into the Himalayas and into Dharmsala I realized it likely was a true story. So, what you believe and what you experience as real and true changes throughout ones life according to one's real life experiences.
At least this is how my life goes. If I see some superior reality or experience then that is the direction my life goes in. But always I am seeking truth, enlightenment and learning how to be more compassionate to all beings in the universe and I am constantly trying to figure out more and more efficient ways to move all beings into enlightenment and how supernaturally to end all beings suffering permanently.

May all beings attain bliss and the cause of bliss
May all beings be free from suffering and the cause of suffering
May all beings never be without the supreme bliss that is free from all near and far
all grasping and aversion

By this merit may I become like all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions and the three times

By the way one needs ten directions to navigate space properly and the three times are the past, present and future

The Terrifying Triage of Haiti

If you are a first responder or above in training you know that what is now happening in Haiti is not one disaster but many simultaneously. First you had the first big earthquake of 7.0. Then you have had over 20 aftershocks which each had an average magnitude of 5.0 or above. So any buildings that weren't damaged during the first quake were likely damaged by one of the others. I have since I live in California been in several high 6 and at least one 7.0 or above quake and when it is that bad if it goes on very long you sort of feel like you are going to die. And if it goes on longer than 30 seconds you might wish you did. However, I have been scared pretty bad even by some 4.5 or 5s or above. Even a 4.5 can send the chandeliers swinging and throw pictures off the wall and break cups and dishes. Almost anyone during a 7.0 will be slightly injured if they are inside a building from banging against the walls or flying things. This is a given. This is even in California where there are stringent building codes to protect life and limb from building collapse.

So, now we are dealing with many already dead and dying and the hospitals are gone mostly. So, whatever hospital supplies at this point might have been crushed or walked off with. So, most of the real medical supplies that can help will have to arrive by plane or boat from other countries. The longer it takes for them to get there the worse it is going to get.

On top of this the people that were only injured and didn't die outright will now begin to die from infection and the grief of other family members and friends that have died. The other problem is that people who have lost loved ones will be out of their minds with grief. To not have food or water or any electricity accept that which is generated by private gas and diesel electric generators is horrifying in a place like that. So, the people who have lost relatives and friends who now don't have food or water start to seriously lose it. And if there are weapons, drugs, crime or other factors this only increases the problems for everyone. On top of that homeless people who were in the streets with nothing now might become looters or worse because there are no police or firemen on the job in Port au Prince at the moment. So, until the UN and the US and other nations establish martial law once again it is not safe for people from other countries or people from Haiti in Port au Prince. I don't remember any single situation with as many bad potentialities as this single one in my lifetime and I'm 61. If someone told me that 100,000 to 500,000 people will die within the next month or two in Port Au Prince I would not be surprised at all.

Avatar: Coping With The Intangibility Of Pandora

http://news.yahoo.com/s/huffpost/20100112/en_huffpost/420605

Actually I find people being depressed Avatar's Pandora isn't real as being a very healthy response. Humans evolved in much more tropical environments. The northern or extreme southern climates are actually "artificial" for us humans. Only with great expenditures of physical and mental and emotional energy have we over thousands of years found ways to survive in the colder climates.

So, longing for a tropical rain forest or paradise I think is very healthy. Seeing what humans really are is healthy. To realize that extreme civilization without almost any trees or plants or living in snow for 3 to 6 months a year we can CHOOSE to do but we actually can choose ANYTHING. So, staying suffering in a city environment and commiting suicide because of being unhappy is really both stupid and ridiculous. Just visit some place you actually might want to live. Stay Alive! Don't let Snow-winter-cabin-fever kill you or shorten your life!

Military Robots and Ethnic Cleansing

I realized today that we are quickly moving into what I call "Ethnic Cleansing" By military robots. For example, today as we speak Islamic Taliban Terrorist leaders are being ethnically cleansed by military robots. Most of the world either agrees with this policy or doesn't disagree enough to stop it happening. This is a given.

However, because I was trained as a computer programmer in my first major in college I understand exactly what happens when you have a two tiered operating system on present military air, land and sea robotic military operatives. The first operating system is the human driving the system. The second operating system kicks in when a human is disconnected from the operating system for any reason but usually for the same reason your cell phone calls drop sometimes and you lose connection. When the human connection is lost temporarily or permanently the operating system becomes autonomous. In other words it follows its program. If that program says for example, kill all redheads or kill anyone wearing a turban or much more likely kill anyone with a hot Kalashnikov gun muzzle from being fired it kills that parameter and keeps doing that until it runs out of battery, electricity and/or fuel.(which could be depending upon the device anywhere from minutes to hours to days.

Obviously, we are on the brink of a new group of situations on earth. This needs to be addressed by International law relatively quickly because sooner or later just like Darpa became the Internet, likewise robots will be policemen and will be security forces for individuals and corporations etc.

Because this IS coming sooner or later laws need to be enacted now before the whole thing gets completely out of hand. Otherwise, you will get scenarios just like the following hypothetical situation:

A country, say like the Sudan that is primarily an Arab Islamic oil state that doesn't like Animists that is fueled by Oil revenues from China decides that it wants to permanently be free of all animists. So they get a few robotic military land vehicles and extinct as many villages of people as possible. However, when the world hears about this the Sudanese say something like: "Oh. We have an out of control military robot that was experimental. We lost it. We will track it down and destroy it. So then no one is responsible because (theoretically) it is a rogue robot and (who cares?) if it just killed several thousands of men, women and children? Then the Sudanese since they know exactly where it is change the designations and blow up an old military robot that has had all the motors, engines and computer components taken out of it and just continues what it has been doing with the same military robots it was ethnically cleansing all the animists with in the first place.

The problem with all this is that there are no witnesses because any witness is dead. The cameras and video logs can be erased and no one seems to know anything. Using this horrific method most of the uneducated minority masses on earth could be systematically erased from the earth. Laws need to be enacted now to prevent mass extinctions of minority ethnic groups worldwide now before it is too late.

The Yellowstone Caldera

With all the earthquakes lately the whole western hemisphere is kind of spooked. Given that, I thought I still should say what's on my mind. First, I talked to a lady who is an old and gifted psychic friend who said, "The pain of the coming earthquake is so bad I had to have a couple of beers to kill the pain." She is in her 80s and I was surprised this church going kind of lady would be drinking beer. But since she will be 83 soon and because I know personally how physically painful it can be for me, too, before an impending large earthquake I guess I understood. However, the next day when the 6.5 went off in Eureka I felt I needed to say something. Once again, now that the 7.0 went off in Haiti and supposedly killed between 100,000 and 500,000 right out of the gate I feel even more moved to share what I am getting. In a recent article I mentioned that the worst part of the earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions are not right now but likely in March of this year because of what I'm picking up I didn't have anything else to go on. However, now whenever I ask inside of God and nature and Earth I get, "Watch out for the Yellowstone Caldera." I also feel simaltaneously something happening around Indonesia as well.

Now, what I hope is that watching the Yellowstone Caldera blow up in the movie "2012" is just spooking my subconscious. But another angle would be that if all the people's subconscious minds who watched 2012 believed that as fact it could also trigger the reality.

There is a statement that has been proved out by all my life experience. "As a man thinketh so is he". Or maybe better said in times of equality, "As any being thinketh so is the being".

So, even another angle of all this would be, No matter what the cause if the Yellowstone Caldera does start moving where would it go?" As I thought about this I thought, "Well. It would move downhill like a river of molten rock. And Downhill from that point likely would be in a Western direction. However, because the prevailing winds would go east any volcanic dust would be deposited in a generally eastern direction.

So, even though all this is speculation at this point, if you feel in your intuition that there is any chance I could be right then you might try to prepare for this eventuality. However, remember I could just as easily be wrong.

I would like to tell you a true story that happened to me regarding foreseeing the Loma Prieto Earthquake in 1989. I took my family to Hawaii to avoid the Earthquake I sensed coming in the correct week it happened. I watched the earthquake on CNN in Hana, Maui, Hawaii. It made me feel sick that there was nothing I could do even though I knew the week it would hit. However, now there is the internet and I can write about my experiences. But sometimes running from an impending earthquake is not the best idea. Sometimes, just getting a kit of food and water in your house and car and warm blankets and sleeping bags ready and keeping your car or truck full of gas might be a better solution that running to Hawaii like I did with my family in 1989.

Two Years later: April 22nd 2012: It is now my belief that most of the stress I was experiencing was released by the Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami in March 2011. Though the 6.8 Earthquake recently in Banda Aceh, Indonesia moved the earth 70 feet laterally which caused earthquakes all around the Ring of Fire including Mexico and off of Oregon things appeared to have settled down at least for now.

The Ongoing Nightmare of Haiti

The ongoing horror of Haiti is a lot like watching someone who is having problems in their life and who is already living on the streets get hit and injured almost everyday by a passing car. But yesterday they were hit so hard they can't walk anymore.

This earthquake is like that almost fatal blow to this country that has had so many troubles ongoing.

I turned CNN on just now to watch the earthquake coverage on Haiti and realized it was just too awful to watch. It is what happened in New Orleans during the Hurricane there times 1000 or more. It is just too horrific to even contemplate. Estimates of 100,000 to 500,000 dead already are not surprising given that level of shaking with no rebar(re-inforcement metal bars) in the cement to prevent collapse) during an earthquake. I believe that Haiti will require rebar soon after this earthquake in all new construction there as long as the dysfunction there doesn't get any worse than it presently is.

I think the world needs to watch very carefully how people worldwide respond to this calamity. It is my belief that there is a sort of Triage mentality coming more and more to the fore in all nations now that we are definitely not in times of plenty anymore worldwide. So, how we respond worldwide to this and all other calamities will tell us a lot about who we are as a world culture and where we are going.

Israeli Robots Remake Battlefield

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB126325146524725387.html?mod=WSJ_hp_mostpop_read

I found this very interesting article at wsj.com (The Wall Street Journal) about the Israeli robot military vehicles. Since the U.S. now trains more pilots for Predator and other robot aerial drones than it does pilots that actually fly in planes or helicopters one can easily see the direction of warfare now on this planet away from men fighting and toward robots fighting or even more likely robots killing terrorists and criminals.

I think the policeman who arrests young Jim Kirk in the latest Star Trek movie is actually prophetic of what is already coming down the pike in the U.S. and Israeli military. If you listen to the video accompanying the article the man talks about an aerial drone telling a tank like vehicle on the ground who to hit and when and how either vehicle can sense the barrel warmth of a Kalashnikov and if the barrel is warm from shooting either vehicle can eliminate that person instantly.

The ethical problems that will come from this will obviously be nightmarish too. And even more nightmarish the philosophical conundrum, "If a tree falls in a forest and no one sees it did it really happen?" The philosophical answer to this question is "No!"

So, if a programmer or remote pilot shoots something or someone and no one else sees it happen did it really happen? The answer might be "NO" if no one else saw it then it didn't happen. This could really bring some nightmarish ethical problems down on humanity worldwide.

A Miss is as good as a mile

My father said this phrase to me when I was growing up in the 1950s a lot. It meant, "Whatever you can walk away from doesn't matter." So if a car missed you by 1/4 of an inch he would laugh and say, "A miss is as good as a mile".

Near death experiences seemed to happen almost every day in the 1950s in my life. So, I too would say in my mind, "A miss is as good as a mile" and then I would laugh because I was still alive. I suppose it is a very macho way of perceiving the universe. But it is important to note it is THE motto of those who settled our country against all odds. Anything that didn't kill you instantly you could laugh about.

Too many people today seem to live in fear of their shadow, fearing to take the slightest risk in case they might hurt their little pinky finger. Whereas when I grew up no one actually expected to live to be 70 or 80. In my mind as a child I thought I would be lucky to live until 30. I had no idea I would ever be alive still at 61 like I am now. Even in my twenties I thought I would die by 25 or 30 and thought people who told me to prepare for 40,50 and 60 were kind of nuts. I'm sort of glad I lived more in the moment. My life has been much better because of it. I hear about people every day who say they did everything right and were loyal always to their company and were laid off in their 50s with nothing and are now on the streets. I think it is important to take your life in your hands and really live it. If you die you die but if you don't live it you have no one to blame but yourself.

Earthquake Patterns 1-12-10

http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsww/Maps/region/N_America.php

I pasted the above interactive usgs site in above so you can see all the above 4.0 quakes that almost form a line between the Eureka Quake and the Haiti Quake. Though on one level Haiti might not formally be on the "Ring of Fire" but I think if you look on this map it needs to be considered a part of the "Ring of Fire". I have also noticed how much more common 4.0 to 5.0 and above quakes appear to be than a few years ago(before the 2004 Indonesian Earthquake and Tsunami). However, since I am not a formal earthquake scientist I can't really compare what I know to what they understand.

However, as an intuitive when I look at Eureka and now Haiti it makes me kind of nervous when I trace all the 4.0s and above all the way from Eureka, California to Haiti and beyond.

What I'm saying is this. I hope the Eureka and Haiti Quakes aren't just pre-quakes for some other major movement somewhere else.

Asteroid Tomorow? 1-12-10

I was listening to Brian Williams on NBC News on TV tonight and he seemed to be talking about an asteroid that one might see during the day as a shining light that would pass about 30,000 miles from Earth. I just looked up Earth's average distance from the moon which appears to be 384,403 km or 238,857 miles approximately. Originally I think got the moons diameter confused with the distance to the moon but this appears to be the correct distance. I guess my question would be: "Have all the variables of gravity pulls of all objects in the solar system been properly calibrated as to their effect on this asteroid? Also, since we are likely in a 26,000 year cycle with the Galaxy has the extra pull of the galaxy during this time been calculated properly as well? It seems to me that calculating an object traveling a path different than a planet or star which would tend to be more regular might be difficult and to be sure all the long distance gravitic effects might be difficult to calibrate effectively especially if an object were of an irregular shape and was tumbling through space.

It is my belief that most but not all asteroids (in the solar system) are pieces of moons and planets of our solar system that have been dislodged through previous collisions with planets and moons. Also, I'm not sure if it has been determined definitively whether or not this particular asteroid is from this solar system or whether it is a runaway from another star system. Also, hopefully, since the trajectory of this object assumably has been well calculated, hopefully, they are right about the trajectory missing earth otherwise it would be like when the dinosaurs ended only we would be the dinosaurs this time.

A New Jobless America?

I was listening to Suze Orman on CNN yesterday and what she said I found disturbing for those presently out of work. She said paraphrased, "Why should companies who laid off workers hire them back if they are doing just fine without those workers?"

I was thinking about this and realized what she was saying. When you need to hold onto workers because of agreements or union contracts or the like companies do almost anything to hold onto good employees. However, when things get so bad that they have no choice but to lay off employees that may have worked 10,20,30 years and are loyal company employees, often it is easier to simply automate using new refined computer technology and eliminate those jobs permanently. Actually, when I first majored in Business Computer Data Processing in college in the late 1960s I thought this sort of thing would happen immediately. However, it didn't because of strong unions back then. But now, since Reagan sort of broke the back of most unions in the 1980s there is nothing to stop automation from permanently taking people's jobs and not rehiring anyone.

My solution way back when is that each person could be given a robot to work in their place and buy this robot on time like one does a car and stay home while your robot works in your place. However, it didn't turn out like that.

I think this precedent is very dangerous for the future of non-management workers in the U.S. If high paying middle class jobs can be permanently eliminated like this then it is a way for the upper class once again to turn most of the western world into Welfare Peons very reminiscent of the Middle Ages of Europe. If the middle class can be eliminated without a fight and without a shot fired think about the long term consequences of the past two years on the future of your children and your children's children in the Western world.

The New Economic World "Normal"

I read recently about a hedge fund manager that had predicted the demise of Enron and one other large company and who now is predicting that China is thousand times worse than Dubai. I sort of took this with a grain of salt until I talked to a long term investor friend of mine who spends up to 40 hours a week studying this kind of stuff as an investor.

I said, "Is it true that China could collapse economically?" He said, "There is some truth to this. However, don't trust the hedge fund manager because it is his job to sell short and bring companies and nations down. It is the way he makes money for his clients. So he is very biased in saying something like this. It is just a part of the way he creates wealth." So I was very surprised that even stable investors who aren't involved with the extreme form of investing that hedge funds comprise are concerned about China's long term economic stability. I said, "Is it because China doesn't have enough checks and balances in the form of enforceable economic laws in place?" He said, "Yes. That is one of many factors that could collapse China economically. Actually, the U.S. is much better positioned for a long term economic position than China presently is."

So I realized that even though China is doing many of the right things, even the doing of these many right things is also dangerous to China in that moving through too many changes too fast in a 5000 year old culture creates a lot of unseen hazards for a culture not used to this present fast pace of change. Even though some people on top of the Chinese pyramid might be okay it could be a disaster for the other 75% of Chinese people. And if that happens it would be a disaster for all Chinese.

My friend said, "I am limiting my exposure to Chinese investment by only owning stocks in Companies that are based in the U.S. but who do business in China. And I'm gauging what sectors might collapse first in China in the way I invest both short and long term.

So, as strange as it sounds investing in the U.S. and Europe still appears to be the relatively safest investments around whereas direct investment in China has to be viewed as Feast or Famine given present world hazards. In other words you could get rich or lose everytthing at any time. And this goes double for the Chinese investors who are investing in Chinese businesses. What very strange times we live in when everything is so extreme.

It makes me wonder what happens if China collapses eocnomically like some are predicting? Since the rest of the world is presently depending upon India and China to pull us out of the muck of worldwide recession this is not good news for anyone. And what happens if China suddenly becomes so desperate that they want the U.S. and other nations to pay back their debts to China? What happens then?

Also, what many nations don't seem to be considering is that the recession likely has roots in the growing scarcity of oil and food on earth. Oil is a limited resource and prices of $10 a gallon or more have been predicted for some time. In fact if you convert liter prices to gallons I know for sure that the price of gas at its highest was over $9 a gallon in parts of Europe within the last 2 years. So basically the world has already hit the $10 gallon once already in places.

So, when you combine $10 a gallon gas and diesel prices with Global Climate Change that is exponentially getting worse(look at the Western half of the U.S. and Europe's amazing deep freeze for example) That I think is still going on as I'm writing here and the ongoing aberrant weather (cold and hot and drought and flood and high winds) worldwide you can see why there isn't enough food or gas. Because you can't raise cheap food without cheap gas and cooperative weather, wind and soil and sun!

The Dragon of Maitreya

The Dragon of Maitreya is not a person but a change in the consciousness of mankind. This change is a perceptual metamorphosis. It is like a caterpillar in a cocoon turning into a butterfly which is readying to fly away to somewhere else. But it begins feeling a lot like Rebirth, of something new, of whole new ways of thinking and being never considered before on earth.(at least in recorded history)

The Dragon of Maitreya is part of the natural evolution of all life upon earth at this time. Nothing that humans have known before in recorded history is a part of what comes now. It is completely different and No one is prepared for what comes now. It is and will be a complete surprise to all of us. The least painful approach is wonder and the most painful approach is resistance. It is coming and it is here. The only question is how will we choose to cope with all the changes?

Life is a Balancing Act

life is a balancing act
when you're born you don't know the rules
Then someone teaches you their rules
Then you usually find those rules aren't quite right
Then you make up your own rules
Then you find your rules don't work either
Then you make up new rules
Some of those rules work
So you try them out on your kids
Then the whole thing starts over again

Multicultural Critical Theory

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/10/business/10mba.html
Begin quote:
“The ‘Eureka’ moment was when I could draw a data point between a hotshot, investment bank-oriented star lawyer and an elementary school principal,” Mr. Martin recalls. “I thought: ‘Holy smokes. In completely different situations, these people are thinking in very similar ways, and there may be something special about this pattern of thinking.’ ”

That insight led Mr. Martin to begin advocating what was then a radical idea in business education: that students needed to learn how to think critically and creatively every bit as much as they needed to learn finance or accounting. More specifically, they needed to learn how to approach problems from many perspectives and to combine various approaches to find innovative solutions.

In 1999, few others in the business-school world shared Mr. Martin’s view. But a decade and a seismic economic downturn later, things have changed. “I think there’s a feeling that people need to sharpen their thinking skills, whether it’s questioning assumptions, or looking at problems from multiple points of view,” says David A. Garvin, a Harvard Business School professor who is co-author with Srikant M. Datar and Patrick G. Cullen of an upcoming book, “Rethinking the M.B.A.: Business Education at a Crossroads.”

Learning how to think critically — how to imaginatively frame questions and consider multiple perspectives — has historically been associated with a liberal arts education, not a business school curriculum, so this change represents something of a tectonic shift for business school leaders. Mr. Martin even describes his goal as a kind of “liberal arts M.B.A.” end quote.

I have always had I guess the liberal arts kind of multi view bias(in other words a blitzkrieg of points of view to solve any problem any way possible). (If you can't solve a problem one way then keep trying other ways until you succeed). You know, like our ancestors did when they actually survived ANYTHING.
