It gutted their savings and stole their homes en masse. Trump was to be revenge on the bankers but Trump supports the bankers especially Deutchebank in Germany which is the ONLY bank that still loans to him because it has to because of Putin.
So, now they see Trump for what he is (which is a rich man who doesn't care about the little guy getting screwed just like during the Great Recession so they are leaving Trump in Droves.
White Americans without College degrees have kissed the curb in life and know where the rubber meets the road and they see Trump doesn't care whether they live or die because of how he is treating 800,000 government workers and their families. They cannot even get their income tax refunds on time because of Trump's craziness of shutting down the government. He has failed them.
Trump has Betrayed them all Completely so they are abandoning him now.
