What does survival mean to you?

I have talked to many people whose ideas of survival made no sense at all to me. It's true there are many different kinds of people. Like people in college who would say things like: "If I don't pass these exams and get into medical school I'm going to kill myself." I would look at people like this and think to myself: "Where are these people coming from?" Because from my point of view and heritage my family were settlers here in the U.S. starting with 1725 when they sailed up the Delaware River towards Philadelphia and settled at first there before they moved all over the country and experienced unbelievable hardships and deaths along the way.

So, whenever I heard people saying that they were going to kill themselves if they didn't pass some test in college I thought to myself: "Well. There's going to be one less person on earth if they are gone?"

This might seem heartless but if you look at what people have been through for thousands of years already and have survived unbelievable hardships, wounds, rapes, rapes with impregnation, starvation, humiliation etc. etc. etc. To kill yourself just because you don't pass some test is pretty ridiculous don't you think?

The point is surviving to have a family and to raise that family to keep your family going on into the future no matter what. Each one of us in this is expendable as long as our families, our children survive, (some of them) on into the future. That is survival and anything less than that is sort of ridiculous in some ways don't you think?

By God's Grace enough of us will survive no matter what on into the future that the human race doesn't go extinct here on earth. And even if it does hopefully some of us will make it to other planets to keep some of the human race alive no matter what. That is really what survival is actually about.

No matter what.

By God's Grace
