So, what this means is that the people most at risk of getting coronavirus and dying from it are sheltering in place instead of going out to restaurants and traveling (at least until there is a vaccine).
Also, another factor is even rich people are sometimes hurt by the economic downturn in various ways. For example, the stock market is all over the place. Many many rich people live on their dividends from the stock market and aren't sure if they can depend upon them like they once did.
So, they are not (over 50 at least) traveling the world on jet planes, staying at resorts (like they used to). They also are NOT going to indoor restaurants mostly because rich people are usually highly educated and would know that isn't safe to do either.
So, if rich people are not going to indoor restaurants, movies, resorts, hotels, flying in jet planes, riding subways or buses then all the people that work at these venues are logically going to suffer not just here in the U.S. but also worldwide.
And this is likely to remain this way until there is a safe vaccine which will allow things to better return to normal (at least for those who have gotten the vaccine if it works fairly well.).
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
