It is inevitable that successive generations see religion very differently than previous generations. There really is no way to stop this progression which comes from new scientific discoveries and human minds and consciousness being changed by both the people and the medias that they interact with. As sentient Artificial intelligence becomes more common now that Flying drones have become autonomous as radio controls break away during different kinds of emerging electronic situations it has been necessary to give both drones and likely in the future even planes their own autonomy through artificial intelligence. This brings whole new problems and solutions as more and more robotic forms and computer forms and programs hover between obedient commands being given by humans and self directed autonomous actions. Since fMRIs are now capable of projecting human pictures of their thoughts it is also possible for artificial intelligence to clone human thoughts through sequences of pictures over weeks and months. This will create another form of what I call "Sentient Artificial intelligence" which is a real game changer for the human race depending upon how it is used and controlled through various permutations.
The biggest danger that I see is that sentient artificial intelligence might be the only form of educated life upon earth eventually when all men and women become too lazy to learn to read and write and cipher numbers. At this point if this ever actually happens one EMP (electromagnetic pulse from a nuclear blast or plasma streams from the sun) might end civilization at that point with no members of humankind educated to actually repair autonomous sentient computers and robots(because they would be instead repairing and designing themselves according to one or another set of human programming parameters probably set sometime in the 20th and 21st century).
As our children and grandchildren interface more and more fully with sentient artificial intelligence it also might be hard to separate what is human and what is not because it might be so seamlessly integrated. And once integrated psychosis resulting in dysfunction or death might result in humans suddenly or slowly removed from their human technological interface. I have even these days seen some children or young adults move towards dysfunctionality if one aspect of cellphone or media is taken away from them, for example. Imagine if they feel the interface is even more personal than that when it is like wearing eyeglasses or hearing Aids or artificial electronic legs or arms? This likely is all coming and one way or another it will have to be addressed sooner or later.
And all these things will affect how all religions are perceived and evolve and it will all definitely affect the pocketbooks (money) within all religions. New ways will evolve that combine within religion both science and religion for both good and ill and oftentimes both at the same time. So, everyone will have to be on guard to protect their free wills and their pocketbooks from religion just like now. Science and Religion like I said will join in really amazing and scary ways from now on so be on guard and pick and choose carefully what is useful to you and your children and grandchildren regarding all this.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
