- As of January 1st there will be no more public school buses running in California, so likely anyone who drives a school bus won't have a job at least for now and anyone who maintains school buses might not either after January 1st. So, kids will either have to be driven by parents or possibly not go to school anymore if they live too far to get to school, since many parents might not have cars to drive them in remote areas. So, likely you will see a lot more kids home schooled because there won't be another option. This will further reduce school district's budgets. So even though this will reduce California's expenses it likely will have far reaching consequences for students, bus drivers, and school districts and teachers and administrators.
