7 hours of rain driving south into U.S. from Whistler
It was incredibly beautiful but stressful driving my 4 wheel drive truck through this much rain on mountain roads and then through stop and go a lot for 1/2 an hour through U.S. Customs along with hundreds of other cars, trucks and motorhomes headed south. And then more rain down Interstate 5. But, after about 7 hours of driving we had had enough. I talked my wife into driving down and visiting my 25 year old daughter and her boyfriend in Portland instead of flying home to California from Seattle. So, at least until Portland I will have company driving south to Oregon. Found a Hotel south of the Seattle Area. Glad to get some rest from stressful driving in the rain. My wife was only able to drive about 20 minutes or less because of her knee replacement surgery about 9 weeks ago now. But, even that was a great help. It's a beautiful view here as I write.
