Zolam also has Amnesiac properties

Zolam has the properties of an amnesiac or an Amnesic drug. An Amnesiac drug means people forget what 

they forget what they have been doing. Since it is given to ISIS soldiers before going into battle and while wearing suicide vests, likely no memory of atrocities or whatever they were doing will likely remain sometimes as they are fighting when the Zolam wears off.

Amnesiacs are used by militaries and governments around the world so they can get information but don't want someone to remember what they said while being questioned. In this case in ISIS they don't want soldiers either to remember the atrocities they commit or whatever. This would allow soldiers to do really really awful things like torture and killing women and children and later have no memory of these actions whatsoever.
