If you are interested in driving a car or truck up to Panther Meadows before July 1st you have at most 2 days to do it in because this road closes until July (or later if there are a lot of snows, because the road sometimes doesn't open there for 2 years if there are heavy snows and they don't melt. I made it a point to drive up to where the old Ski lifts were in the 1950s and 1960s before an avalanche brought them down. This is where the paved Everitte Memorial Hiway ends. However, usually they keep the road snow plowed up to Bunny Flats for Mountain Climbers, Snowshoers, snowmobilers, and Mountaineering Skiers. (Cross country skiing with metal edges).
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
