Historically, young men have often gone to war to kill themselves. This has been true for thousands of years. The cause can be many things but usually it is realizing that either they cannot marry the girl they want to or because they cannot have the profession they want, or something that they want they cannot do and without that they would just rather die. This is especially the problem of young men and unrealistic expectations. Even I faced this from ages 21 to 24 or 25 until my son was born and I got married and I had to grow up to take care of my son to make sure he grew up right. However, for many young man there is no son to make them grow up and so they join armies and then they die in wars all over the world of one kind or another. Or they join gangs as very young men and are gone by ages 14 to 20 years of age. This has always been this way around the world.
However, I think ISIS is an extreme version of this because if you join ISIS just expect to be dead by about 1 year from when you join. Unless you are at the rank of Captain or above like a Colonel or General you maybe 90% are going to be dead. This is a given.
So, this means that you are committing suicide by joining ISIS. This is something you need to think about. It might be in your mind like becoming a superhero or something like that. But, in the end you will just be dead and your family likely will be destroyed by your death just like every other family is destroyed by the deaths of their young sons too when that has happened for thousands of years already all over the earth.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
