Of the two I likely prefer Google News Better. However, for human interest stories Yahoo is better. But, at Yahoo you have to watch for infomercials which about 1/3 to 1/2 of the stories there tend to be. People are very creative about selling you one thing or another. But, at the same time you are also many times learning about new and interesting products coming to you around the world. So, without the informercial kind of format you might not learn about a lot of these products for a year or more.
But, for just diversity of amazing articles Google News is the most articles I have found in one place from around the world. It's amazing what you can find there by referencing from different angles. And then if you are interested in something often you can drill down because once you go into one article often there are many more on the same or similar subjects that you can then drill down on to learn more and more.
Then if there is something you want to know more about, an area, country, city or situation often you can also drill down with key words into wikipedia for background information on technology, places, ideas, political groups etc. So, I find that Google News and Yahoo are two really great places to start in your quest for knowledge about anything in the news worldwide. Another site I also like to go to is CNN.com.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
