35,000 E. Germans sold to W. Germany during Cold War

This wasn't talked about much because it was shameful for both E. Germany and W. Germany during the Cold War. But as a direct result of this 35,000 political prisoners in East Germany were released to their relatives in West Germany before 1991 when the Berlin wall fell.
