Don't Worry Be Happy?

Black Humor. Sometimes you cannot help but laugh because things are just so awful you can't imagine it getting worse. But, then it does.

Tonight as we watched a Palestinian run over a group of pedestrians and then jump out of his mini-van and get shot by Israeli police we also had been talking about Zolam or Xanax.
My wife looked at me and said straight faced, "Here put on this vest (after someone gives a child Zolam so they have no fear or any sense of time or space either) and now go pull this string." Don't worry! Be Happy!" I laughed in horror at just how insane some children's lives are now in the middle East. (obviously I'm talking about when ISIS gives children Zolam, straps a bomb on them and says, "Go pull this string over there. Don't worry be happy!" Humor sometimes is the only way to deal with this level of insanity.

Sometimes, Black humor or Dark humor of soldiers and police is the only way to get through horrific times here on earth.

And what's even crazier about this is that this sort of thing now is an every day occurrence for children in the Middle East and Africa who are child soldiers.
