Remember how I was saying the American People need a General as President with Putin getting all crazy on the world sort of like Hitler? Well. American Generals tend to be mostly Republican. So, the American people likely are scared that we need a military strategist rather than a great peace time president of Obama to be president right now. This is partly I think what is happening with the shift of Republicans into office. The people are scared of Putin and don't think Obama is up to the task. They had a little more trust in Presidents like the two Bushes, Reagan and Nixon or Eisenhower. However, though I wouldn't consider FDR and Truman as wartime presidents they fought to the death in FDR's case for the American People and Truman saved 1 million American lives by nuking Japan so they would surrender. But, in general people trust Republican presidents during wartime more in regard to people like Putin (or Stalin or Hitler) running amuck over the earth. ISIS wouldn't even exist now if Putin hadn't demanded Assad stay in power no matter what and started shipping weapons to Assad to make sure of this. Even Crimea is what Putin needed to ship more weapons to him by ship through Crimea to make it less expensive to ship weapons to Assad. And even the parts of Ukraine Putin has taken through his soldiers is so trucks can take these weapons more cheaply to Crimea to be shipped to Assad in Syria. It is all about making war more cost effective and keeping Assad in power in Syria at all costs.
However, Putin threatening the U.S. and NATO nations with nuclear weapons needs an appropriate response that needs likely an American General as President of the United States. Otherwise, we are eventually going to have another Pearl Harbor of some sort like we had when FDR was president and something like another World War II if nukes are not used.
Anyone who studies history of the 1930s and 1940s sees the similarities to what is happening with Putin to Hitler in the 1930s leading up to World War II.
The problem is: Because of nuclear weapons all this could be over (the end of the world) within minutes or seconds with no one left alive at all anywhere (including animals, fish and birds).
Obama is more of a college professor type of person who is extremely intelligent and always weighs his decisions very carefully. However, with someone like Putin you need a military strategist and someone who is extremely decisive because the world is full of nuclear weapons and often there is no time to weigh things out in a measured way.
