Today also on PBS Radio they interviewed a lady who left Liberia in 1980 at age 14 whose mother was gang raped by soldiers so she and her sisters wouldn't be raped then. She settled eventually in the U.S. and became a reporter after reading "All the Presidents men". She talked about returning to Liberia where she was born and where she grew up until age 14. Two of her sisters have returned to Liberia and live there now. Even though she is now an American and a reporter for the New York Times here in the U.S.
PBS public radio is the source.
