The main problem with Putin's role as a version of Archie Bunker Russian Style is it is a very brittle point of view that sophisticated people all over the world are just not open to.
If you take a Russian version of Archie Bunker and add in Vlad the Impaler from the 1400s you get a better view of the role that Putin is playing in his own movie on the world stage.
The role he plays is a lot like warriors of the past like Hitler and Stalin with a little Genghis Khan thrown in for good measure. Is he even scarier than them?
I think so because there are no clear definitions now on the world stage. People similar to the role Putin is playing now are only really played by Al Baghdadi, Assad, the leader of North Korea and a few others.
Mostly, the world thought we were through with the role in the world that Putin now plays. However, he seems relatively comfortable in a role that continues to scare the hell out of most people on earth.
However, this was also true of people like Hitler and Stalin before him too.
Unlike them Putin has no trouble at all of threatening the whole world with his nuclear weapons and this is the real problem in the end and in the beginning and especially right now.
