The Russians poured 28 Billion dollars into supporting the Ruble but couldn't afford to bolster it with any more than that. Now, Putin is in trouble politically as everything will begin to cost more and more as the Ruble continues to collapse as oil prices harm the government purse and sanctions bite the Russian Economy from the U.S. And Europe.
