My younger daughter wanted to print some shrinky dinks for decorations I believe or something. My older daughter said, "If it prints colors it is an Inkjet."
"It can be an inkjet printer and still use inkjet cartridges."
So, to the above printer at least the answer is: "Yes. This particular color printer uses cartridges but is also an inkjet printer even though HP has much newer ones than this one."
