This of course is mitigated by vaccines (where and when they are available), people in any country learning how to prevent and care for relatives in a safer way, etc.
But, beyond that where it hits and people aren't very educated wherever that is in Africa or beyond, the multiplier (without sufficient education of the common people) is about 10 times the cases and the same for the number of deaths every 4 months.
This number is also reduced by the 30% of the people in any given country now being treated by doctors from that country (who are still alive) and from doctors and nurses from around the world.
(The highest death rates appear to be among doctors and nurses of the country being ravaged by Ebola). So, to some degree working on Ebola in your own country in Africa tends to be a death sentence from exhaustion for local doctors and nurses. Because if you get Ebola when exhausted you are much more likely to die from it. Also, exhaustion tends to make doctors and nurses more careless because they are working too many hours without enough sleep or food, then they get Ebola from being careless and exhausted and then they die from it.
