Said Kouachi Suspected Of Fighting For Al Qaeda In Yemen

This fact is very interesting to me because this means he was probably in Yemen to fight the Shias (Houthis) there. Saudi Arabia (citizens from there are major funders for Al Qaeda and ISIL) are terrified of Shias taking over and keeping Yemen as a base to attack the government of Saudi Arabia. So, in this sense (the people not the government of Saudi Arabia) are allies (many of them) with both Al Qaeda and ISIL because both Al Qaeda and ISIL tend to spout many of the Wahhabi Sunni ideas (only Al Qaeda and ISIL are much more extreme than the average Wahhabi Sunni Saudi Arabian.

So, even though Al Qaeda eventually wants to overthrow the Government in Saudi Arabia. They want to extinct all Shias more including all of Iran. If Al Qaeda had their way everyone pretty much in Iran would be dead now.
