Self Editing

As a blogger I am always self editing myself. For example, I might write what I consider the best piece I have ever written on a given subject that completely expresses my views. But, after rereading it a couple of times I realize it will not communicate what I really want to others. So, I usually delete something like this which for me, sometimes is sad.

But, unless people can comprehend your point of view and have it be useful to them in their lives "What is the point of Blogging in the first place?"

Being a blogger is sort of like running your flag "article" up a flagpole to see if anyone salutes it. So, unless people can relate to what you are writing from their own life experiences it won't be useful to them. So, this is important regarding self editing of all bloggers.

However, every blogger is going to have his or her own specific audience who shares some thoughts and ideas in one or more directions.

For example, some of the people that might  visit this blog might be interested in how to develop compassion, prevent their suicide or other members of their families or their friends, be investors, or married to investors or be in an investing family, or they might like to travel like I do. There are many more aspects to this as well. Or they might have had a similar background to mine of being raised a mystical Christian and then studied SRF teaching by Yogananda or they might live on the West Coast of the U.S. or wish they did or grew up as surfers or SCUBA divers like I did in Southern California, or be mountain climbers like I was and as much as possible still am. Or they might just be interested in the types of news events I quote at this site or various other things I post and quote here.

Every blog is like this and people who follow that blog have their own interests, so people who read blogs and bloggers often have one or more things in common with each other around the world.

In order for more people to be able to read this blog I also put a "Google Translate" here so it also can be translated to about 70 languages as well if people want to translate it as well. All these things and more are why over 30,000 to 35,000 people now per month visit this site from around the world every month now.
