The first photo I took while checking out of a natural food store in Pahoa which is of Kava root powder for a traditional island drink. The effect might be somewhat similar to a glass of wine and is used for making people more social in social gatherings and less shy. If you can read the P.O. box and address you might get them to ship you some if you are an adult and want to try this as a tea.
However, it was purple sweet potato salad which was very different but I still ate most of it even though it wasn't at all what I expected. But, it was a fun experiment and I shared it with my friend's girlfriend who is traveling with us.
