The problem now after today with Visa Waiver Countries like all or most of Europe, the U.S. is that someone say with a French passport (possibly like one of the terrorists today who might have been trained to do what they did in the Middle East somewhere) could theoretically come also to the U.S. without a Visa. This is because of agreements the U.S. has with most European Union and the British. From the U.S. this also extends out to South Korea for sure and possibly to Japan as well as possibly other countries that do this also.
So, if any person is a legal resident or citizen of one of these Visa Waiver Countries all they have to do is to obtain a Passport and an airline ticket to fly to any one of the numerous countries that don't now require a visa to enter those countries.
So, let's say these terrorists today don't get caught for some reason. They could (if they have a legal European Union Passport as a citizen or green card holder), buy an airline ticket to New York and do the same thing there without presenting themselves and their documents to ANY countries embassy to do that.
So, to me, this is what is problematic for the U.S. about what just happened today in France.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
