After running over the Mt. Ashland Pass with my motorhome on 7 cylinders that has a Dodge 318 as it's powerplant, when I talked to a man in the service department at Dodge and Chrysler in Mt. Shasta, he said in all likelihood it was a cracked head because the 318 he said was a bad design which often caused the heads to crack. So, he didn't think it was a burnt valve. Instead he thought from experience that it was a cracked head. So, I left my motorhome there after cleaning out all the valuables to be worked on and headed home in my 2011 4wd Tundra that was loaded to the gills now with my daughter's stuff from her dorm in college in Seattle, my wife's stuff and now all my stuff that was valuable from the motor home that made sense to bring home with us to the California Coast of the San Francisco Greater Area.
We arrived about 10 pm last night home. We were very surprised that it rained all the way home from Stockton, especially because of the drought California is now in. In order to avoid rush hour traffic from 4 to 7 pm in the Bay area I often drive through Sacramento and STockton to avoid all that on my way back from Mt. Shasta, Portland or Seattle or all three like this time.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
