The problem of Ramadi for the Iraqi Government

Ramadi is the capital of Anbar Province which is a predominantly Sunni Province. Though it is true that the majority of people in Iraq are Shia just like in Iran, this is the opposite in Anbar Province with Majority Sunni.

So, if Shia Militias attack to retake a Sunni City, Ramadi, this could easily end the Iraqi government. Bob Baer, a retired CIA operative basically said as much yesterday on CNN.

So, his point of view was that Iraq (because of what is happening there) is already gone as a nation.

He said that unless we change our strategy or give Iraq to Iran that this is a foreign policy disaster for the U.S. and a complete disaster for the Iraqi people and the end of the mostly Shia Iraqi government.

So, if the Shia militia attack in force Ramadi and ISIS this could be the end or at least the permanent unraveling of the IRaqi government that the U.S. set up because Ramadi is a majority Sunni Town and when the Shia militias go in often they kill any Sunnis they find.

Also, it is important to realize that Saddam Hussein was of the secular Sunni party called the Baathist.
And many Baathist officers are now running the strategic parts of ISIS alongside of Russian Chechens.

Another trick ISIS is now using is to put one Russian Chechen with each military attack group as radio communicator. This way Iraqis cannot decipher Russian so they can't understand the radio transmissions between ISIS groups.

It is similar to the Navajo Code Talkers of World war II used by the Americans against the Japanese then.
