Obama is like a very wise College professor with a lot of wisdom about the complexities of life.
Putin is an excellent strategist and someone with what I call "Terminal Macho"
Trump reminds me of a businessman with this same kind of "Terminal Macho"
Obama is busy about keeping the world at peace.
Putin is busy about expanding the Russian Empire.
Putin sees himself as another Stalin or Kruschev or someone like that.
He is much more like leaders in centuries past and not so much like today.
Complexity is not his thing. Statements of brute force are what he does best.
The problems he faces in Russia are actually much much different than what we deal with here in the U.S. And so his solutions to problems aren't going to make any sense to Americans at all.
The Russian culture doesn't really resemble what England and the U.S. have been through at all. So, it is very difficult for people in the U.S. to make any sense at all of Putin or Russia.
If you aren't a world traveler it is going to make no sense at all to you. And even then you will know you are out of your league unless you deeply studied Russian culture for the past 500 years or more.
Obama is much easier to understand. He is a genius intellectually and reminds me of other geniuses I have known who decided to marry and have a family. He is also very dedicated to public service and likely his life after the presidency will look a lot like Bill Clinton and Jimmie Carter's lives now.
Why am I writing this?
Because Obama is about the world getting along without killing everyone's soldiers in battle and Putin is about going down as someone like "Putin the Great" like other Russian Hero Generals and Czars. The emphasis is not human rights. the emphasis is the greatness and the return of the Russian empire. Putin is moving towards becoming Czar Putin more than any other thing. So, he is a throw back to another century and another time. IF you don't understand this you will never understand Putin or what he is about or what he is doing.
