The Russian Orthodox Church has declared a HOLY WAR in Syria

Since the Russian Orthodox Church has declared a "HOLY WAR" in Syria and since "The Muslim Brotherhood has declared a Jihad against this, the fireworks are likely going to continue for some time even if all of ISIS and their sex slaves are killed by Russia and Iran and Hezbollah.

 

So, in this sense the Russian Orthodox Church now sees itself as the Champion for all Christians here on earth.

 

It reminds me a little of Vlad, The Impaler impaling Muslims from Turkey who were trying to move ISlam into Europe which eventually resulted in the popular fictional character "Count Dracula" as a direct result over time. Also, historically, Vlad was killed by Turkish Muslims over time in revenge. However, it must be noted that Vlad, the Impaler also prevented the Spread of Islam all across Europe at that time just like El Cid in Spain drove back the Islamic Moors from Spain in his era too.
