My son started using one when he lived near Seoul in South Korea where air pollution comes across the Yellow Sea from Beijing which can be really really bad. So, they kept themselves healthy in their home during these times with a Winix Air purifier. It has filters you should check or change about every 2 or 3 months of usage.
The past 2 years or so where I live in the SF Bay Area I was getting sinus infections that doctors were worried about going into my brain. However, since we bought 2 Winix air purifiers and put one in our bedroom I haven't had any sinus problems at all since the beginning of 2019. And that's after two years of serious problems between January and June from pollen. I never had any problems with allergies when I was younger but now at age 71 I have to be careful of this for some reason. What seems to get me is pine and Acacia pollen the most. So, to filter all this out of your sleeping area get a Winix Air purifier so you don't have problems anymore (or at least they will be greatly lessened).
