What is the problem with plastic?
It doesn't biodegrade back into dirt. This is the main problem of plastic worldwide. So, as long as you keep making plastic worldwide the problem of birds, fish and people accidentally ingesting plastic not only will continue but get much much worse over time.
So, one must view making plastic as a mistake that is killing all life on earth because it doesn't biodegrade back into the earth where stuff can be grown out of it. Unless we see plastic and anything else we make that also kills us and our children and other animals eventually we will go extinct along with all the living things dying now around the world from ingesting plastic pieces of stuff made the last 70 years here on earth.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
