Hope for people with Congestive Heart Failure symptoms

Or "How Entresto just saved my life!"

I now have 3 heart specialists instead of one because my wife thought I was dying a couple of months ago. Then my 1 heart specialist at that time wanted me to take entresto but I was scared because of negative side effects with spironolactone in the past and negative side effects (eventually) after a few years also with Lisinopril. So, both spironolactone and Lisinopril slammed me with serious side effects so I stopped taking them a few years ago now. But, when I stopped taking spironolactone suddenly I almost died 2 years ago because I didn't realize what would happen if I stopped taking them suddenly. Then the cardiologist canceled my appointment because he had to operate on someone. Then out of desperation I went to my family doctor and he said, "Boy it's good you came here in a couple of days I would have had to put you in the hospital!

So, taking some new "miracle Medicine" after almost dying from the side effects of other ones didn't make me happy. Then I talked to a nurse who was taking statins and she said, "Oh yes. One of the side effects of statins could have been I would have died!" This gave me the courage to try entresto at a 1/2 the lowest dose. So, I was okay at that dose and then went up to the minimum full dose which saved my life. No side effects so far at all it just is like my great health of 3 years ago or so. Amazing!

So, I guess what I'm saying is one of my 2 new cardiologists told me, (this is the college professor one who is very articulate) she said, "I have one patient that was at 15% percent heart compression who went up to 57% heart compression on entresto. So, in this sense it is a miracle drug. Though my compression is way up beyond 15% I too have had this experience where my heart compression went right up back to normal so I'm actually ready to ski again this year. (which is quite a change from thinking I needed a defibrilator pacemaker installed in my heart and right clavical bone).

So, what I'm actually saying to you here is that entresto might save your life like it has mine for now too if you have congestive heart failure symptoms!

Note: For me, I could only take the lowest whole dose. When I went higher to a more normal dose I couldn't think, couldn't drive, couldn't walk or talk so I soon gave that up after 1 or 2 doses. But, the lowest whole dose works perfect for me without lobotomizing me where I know I can go skiing. Also, I don't get winded like I did before after walking 5 or 10 steps up hill hiking anymore either.

So, Good Luck!
